Where does the IRONMAN take place?

The swim takes place around the Hawana lagoons, while the cycling course follows the coastline and roads around the Salalah area. The running section takes competitors through Hawana before reaching the finish line around the marina.

The IRONMAN 70.3 Dhofar Course
1.9 km Swim
The first stage is a 1.9 km swim.
The course is located around the waters of the Hawana lagoons, providing a distinctive setting for the opening section of the race.
90 km Bike
After the swim, athletes begin the 90 km cycling course.
The course travels along the Dhofar coastline, including sections of the road between Salalah and Mirbat. The combination of long open roads and coastal scenery creates a very different cycling experience from a typical city triathlon.
21.1 km Run
The final stage is a 21.1 km half marathon.
The run consists of multiple loops around Hawana Salalah, giving spectators opportunities to see the athletes several times before they reach the finish line at the marina.
