Your East Salalah Mountain Safari Full Day Tour begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel, residence, or Salalah Airport in a comfortable 4WD vehicle. Accompanied by a professional local Omani guide, you will travel east of Salalah along the scenic coastline and into the mountains of Dhofar.

The first stop is Taqah Beach, where golden sands meet turquoise waters, offering a relaxing introduction to the region’s coastal beauty. You will then visit Taqah Castle, a beautifully restored 19th-century fort that provides insight into traditional Omani architecture and local history (entry optional).

Continuing inland, you will experience the famous anti-gravity point, a unique natural phenomenon where vehicles appear to roll uphill. The journey then takes you to Ain Hashir, a tranquil natural spring surrounded by greenery, followed by a visit to the region’s rare and ancient baobab trees, some of which are hundreds of years old.

The adventure continues into the highlands of Jabal Samhan Plateau, one of Oman’s most dramatic mountain regions, where you will enjoy breathtaking views over deep canyons and rugged landscapes. A stop at the impressive Tawi Atiq Sinkhole offers another perspective on the unique geology of Dhofar.
